DAR Liberty Tree refers to a patriotic commemoration connected with the Daughters of the American Revolution / NSDAR and the America 250 celebration of the 250th anniversary of American independence in 2026.
A Liberty Tree is a symbolic tree planted or designated to remember the original colonial Liberty Trees, especially the famous one in Boston where patriots gathered before the American Revolution. The tree became a symbol of resistance, public assembly, “no taxation without representation,” and American liberty.
